Biggest Upgrades From the Previous Year
There are significant changes to the 2022 Mercedes EQS, considering that the last year included only sedans. The new SUV has a slightly better horsepower of 335 hp than 329 hp the previous year. Additionally, we noticed an improvement in the torque from 417 lb-ft to 590 lb-ft.
Engine and Performance
The Dual Permanently Excited Synchronous (PSM) electric motor prevails in both trims. However, it’s more powerful in the 580 trim with 385 kW, compared to 265 kW in the 450.
Additionally, the engine in the 450 model generates 335 horsepower and 590 lb-ft torque. On the other hand, the 580 model has more horsepower of 516 hp and 632 lb-ft of torque.
