Follow the Fraser up the Canyon
If you love scoping out a stunning waterfall, then Wells Grey Provincial Park is for you. In addition to the famed Helmcken Falls, Wells Gray hosts over 40 others, lending the park its other moniker: Canada’s Waterfall Park. The best part? Many of them are easily accessible, so hikers of all skill levels can still take in the stunning views. To get there, it is a 6-hour drive from Vancouver on a beautiful route that takes you via the Fraser Canyon, along Highway 1, and then onto Highway 5. Past Kamloops and into Clearwater there are plenty of expansive mountain views with awe-inspiring peaks and valleys, along with hiking trails, luxury cabins, and resorts to stop at along the way. Once at Wells Gray Provincial Park, immerse yourself in the ancient landscape that was “borne from volcanoes and carved by glaciers”.
A Race to the Rockies
The Rocky Mountains are the very definition of majestic, and the eastern interior of B.C. is where you can find them. To get to these foothills, and the beautiful Mount Robson Provincial Park, it is about 7 hours of drive-time from Vancouver. It’s well worth considering breaking up the trip with an overnight stay en route so you can soak up the scenery to the fullest. Once you arrive at B.C.’s second-oldest park—which is home to the highest Rocky Mountain peak—you’ll be greeted by a fairy tale setting: blue alpine rivers, rugged mountain cliffs, and treasured wildlife such as deer, moose, bears, mountain goats and more. These bountiful landscapes offer endless activities too, including caving, rock climbing, mountain biking, fishing, world-famous hiking, horseback riding, kayaking and canoeing.
Book Some Peace of Mind
Before you hit the open road, do yourself a favour and book your beloved vehicle in for a tune-up. We offer comprehensive services to suit any schedule and need, starting with a Service and Maintenance appointment. So much more than just an oil change, a trusted Mercedes-Benz technician will review your entire vehicle, including the engine, interior and exterior, brakes, wheels, and more. Some replacements may be required—air filter or transmission fluid, for instance—but wouldn’t you rather have that completed pre-trip?
If you find yourself in a hurry, the Express Service option may be the best for you. We’ll arrange for your vehicle to be serviced by two technicians at once, finishing up in around one hour. Finally, we also provide Prepaid Maintenance Programs which can save you time, money, and the hassle of sporadic maintenance. These, like all our services, allow you to drive with confidence and peace of mind, far beyond the city streets of Vancouver. Safe travels.
