Ushering in Electric With EQB.

Experience luxury driving in a whole new way with the EQB, the newest member of the Mercedes-EQ family.
As more electric vehicles begin to emerge throughout the market, the all-new Mercedes-EQ lineup begins a journey into the future of Mercedes-Benz. With the flagship EQS sedan hitting stores this spring, the 7-seat EQB compact SUV is expected to enter the fold in late 2022 as the marque’s second all-electric model offered in Canada.
It will come as a relief to many that electric is no longer synonymous with “weird.” Both EQ models being introduced are electric variants of existing gasoline-powered Mercedes-Benz models.
It’s no coincidence, then, that the EQB 350 4MATIC first appears very similar to the GLB 250 compact SUV that was introduced in 2020. However, it is a very different vehicle under the surface. The EQB replaces the GLB’s traditional 2.0L inline-four gasoline engine with a large 66.5kWh battery and a pair of electric motors. In turn, the EQB 350 4MATIC has significantly more power than its gasoline counterpart, with the electric motors delivering the equivalent of 288 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque to all four tires via Mercedes’ 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
What this means for drivers—other than no more visits to the fuel pump—is the instant, smooth power delivery that electric vehicles are becoming known for, and it’s sure to make the EQB 350 4MATIC perfect for any driving situation Canada has to offer.
Outside, the EQB 350 4MATIC is angular and strong, and shows off several new Mercedes-EQ design trademarks: a new black-panel grille and integrated light strip are the focus up front, with an LED light strip across the tail lights completing the sophisticated look..
Prominent rose gold appointments set an elevated, elegant tone inside the new EQB 350 4MATIC. Technology is at the forefront of the EQB’s interior, too, where two 10.25” touchscreens blend seamlessly together to form the Mercedes-Benz Widescreen Cockpit, a beautiful instrument and control panel unlike any other. It’s not just for show, either: the MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) operating system allows you to control features of your EQB via movement, touch, or speech via the “Hey Mercedes'' digital assistant, keeping your hands and eyes free of distractions. And, of course, all seven occupants in your new EQB 350 4 MATIC will be sure to be entertained, with support for all your favourite smartphones and media.
