Vancouver Christmas Markets.
November 25 2021, Mercedes-Benz Vancouver

‘Tis the season to shop local, and nothing says Christmas like stopping by a holiday market for those last-minute gifts and hot apple cider. Here are our five festive picks for the 2021 season.
Vancouver Christmas Market
November 13 - December 24
After a one-year hiatus, the city’s most famous Christmas Market is back and will once again be set up at Jack Poole Plaza near the Vancouver Convention Centre. Influenced by the best of Germany’s traditional markets, you can sip on Glühwein (hot-spiced mulled wine), snack on cheesy raclette or Fischbrötchen fish sandwiches, then shop for gifts galore, including handmade candles, chocolates, and jewelry.
Fairmont Vancouver Airport’s Holiday Pop-Up Market
November 17 – December 31
Whether you’re flying in from out of town, picking up visitors from YVR, or just out for an afternoon drive, keep the travel theme going by checking out the Fairmont Vancouver Airport’s pop-up market. Need a fun gift idea? Recreate a hotel experience at home with Le Labo bath and body products, Fairmont robes for the whole family, and a whole stack of Fairmont’s Lot35 Teas to sip on—all available at the market (plus a whole lot more).
Shipyards Annual Artisan Christmas Market in North Vancouver
December 4, 5, 11, and 12
Festive shopping is made easy at the historic Pipeshop Building in North Vancouver’s Shipyards District. This annual market boasts pottery, crafts, spirits and other artisan-made gifts. After you’ve made your holiday purchases, wander by the seaside on the nearby wharf with a hot chocolate in hand.
Winter Treasures Artisan Market in Port Moody
November 12 - December 22
A short drive away from Vancouver, the Winter Treasures Artisan Market at the Port Moody Arts Centre is just the place to browse for BC-made treasures, including handmade art, decor, and ceramics. Make a full day of it with friends by checking out PoMo’s nearby brewery row.
The Christmas Store at Potters in Surrey
Open until December 24
If you’ve never heard of Western Canada’s largest Christmas store, it’s time to get familiar. Now in its 17th year, the festive experience takes place at Potters Nursery in Surrey, which transforms from a garden centre to an 28,000-square-foot marketplace extraordinaire. Here you’ll find hand-picked ornaments, designer trees, snacks, and stocking stuffers galore. Bring the kids to enjoy MouseTown (an automated village run by mice) and Train Station (with a fun train-around-the-tree display).
This December, support local artisans and get into the festive spirit by checking out a Christmas market or two. Need more gift ideas? Check out our recommendations for BC-made distilleries and their delicious spirits. Deck the halls!
